Both DTF (Direct-to-Film) and screen printing produce excellent results on fabric, but they excel in different scenarios. Understanding the breakpoints helps you choose the right method and avoid overpaying.

DTF Printing excels at: full-color photographic designs, small batches (1-100 pieces), variable designs (different names/numbers), and dark fabric printing. No setup costs — each piece can be unique.

Screen Printing excels at: large volumes (100+ pieces), simple 1-3 color designs, Pantone-matched spot colors, and the lowest per-unit cost at scale. Setup includes screen creation (KES 1,500/color).

The Breakpoint: For orders under 50 pieces with complex designs, DTF is almost always more cost-effective. Above 100 pieces with simple designs, screen printing wins on price. Between 50-100, it depends on the design complexity.
